Admission

ADMITTANCE   FINANCIAL INFO   POLICIES

Admittance Procedure

  1. Schedule an interview with the principal, both parents and the student by calling the school office at (903) 892-3304 or 903-892-2141.

  2. Obtain the package of forms from the school office.

  3. Complete all forms for each child to be registered and accompany the forms with registration fee, health form, and the first tuition payment and other required fees to the school office.

  4. The child should receive all necessary shots before school begins. These are recorded on a required medical form completed by the parent.

  5. GCS is not a correctional institution. Students are not accepted who have smoked habitually, been arrested, used narcotics or have children.

  6. All new students are admitted on probation for the first six weeks.

  7. Students are not accepted who do not want to attend GCS. It should be agreed upon by students and parents that attending GCS is a privilege and should not be taken lightly.

  8. Grayson Christian School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color or national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational or admissions policies or in its athletics and other school administered programs.

Financial Information

Grayson Christian School is an independent institution with an annual budget dependent upon
the tuition of the students and donations of friends for expenses.
All contribution are tax deductible.

Registration Fee:
paid once before the school year or at the time of registration

  • New Students $100
  • Returning Students $50, if paid by June 1st

Tuition:
paid by the first of each month

  • 1st Child $2,200.00 per year... or 10 payments of $220.00
  • 2nd Child $1,900.00 per year... or 10 payments of $190.00
  • 3rd Child $1,600.00 per year... or 10 payments of $160.00
  • 4th Child $1,300.00 per year... or 10 payments of $130.00

Alpha Omega "Computerized Learning Curriculum" & Lab Fee:
these are combined together and divided into ten payments of $55.00 per month, paid with the tuition payment

  • 3rd grade through 12th grade - $350.00 per year
  • Computer Lab Fee $200.00 per year

Pre-K through Second Grade Curriculum:
$125.00 due Aug. 1st and $125.00 due Jan. 1st

  • $250.00 per year

Activity Fee:

  • $10 per month for physical education equipment and transportation to field trips and sports activities.

Payment Schedule:

  • The first payment is due August 1st. Statements are mailed the 15th of each month. Tuition is due by the 1st of each month.

Before and After School Program

  • $80.00 per month - Available from 7:00am to 6:00pm

 

Policies

  1. Students are expected to maintain Christian standards in courtesy, kindness, morality and honesty. Students will not be allowed to cheat, swear, smoke, gamble, drink alcoholic beverages or use narcotics or indecent language at any time.

  2. Students are expected to display respect and loyalty to the government, flag and national anthem of the United States of America. Students are expected to show reverence for God, His written word, the church and its leaders and all who are in authority.

  3. Students are required to wear the official school uniforms. Specific information concerning uniforms is available in the school office.

  4. Discipline which is firm, consistent, fair and tempered with love will be administered in the school. Our faculty maintains standards of behavior in the classroom through kindness, love and a genuine regard for their students. However, when disciplinary action becomes necessary, the school officials will take appropriate action.

  5. Parents are expected to support and uphold all school policies.
